PANKALIA COPY COLLECTION

As an experiment, I copied my collection and made it in only one material and one colour.
We recognize the apparel icons also from the material they are made of. This collection is made to see if we still link the new items to the classical ones when we cannot identify them by the materials.

DYING WITH COAL

Black colour pigment that is used for dying fabrics is more damaging to the environment than other colours.
This is because the double amount of colour is used and
some black colours furthermore contain heavy metals.

The Pankalia copy collection is made out of 100 %
ecological cotton and dyed with Japanese coal instead of chemicals.

Coal and water are resistent but by mixing a small amount of soap with the coal powder, the colour
attaches to the cotton fibers.

This results in a very environmentally friendly collection and is a good alternative to the industrial chemicals.
